Profile: Performer, teacher and choreographer. Director of the Samovar Dance Theatre and the Samovar Dance Studio.

Ruric-Amari's performances, classes and workshops are innovative, professional and compelling. She is a frequent performer at weddings and parties, university functions, city festivals, CD release parties, major charity galas, television programs and dance concerts. Hundreds of performances at dozens of venues have earned her a reputation as an extraordinary dance artist and entertainer.

Ruric teaches dance classes at her studio in Louisville KY, conveniently located for both Louisville and southern Indiana students. Her workshop series, The Body Electric, focuses on technique, musicality and improvisation and is presented several times during the year. She also directs the Samovar Dance Theatre, which she started in 2005 to provide students interested in both authentic and experimental belly dance with a performance outlet. She incorporates her studies in massage therapy, yoga and pilates into her curriculum so that her students learn to dance safely and strongly as well as with emotion and precision.
